Liposuction or body contouring is one of the most popular plastic surgery that is used to remove excess fat and aims to reshape specific regions of the body.

Procedure:
Liposuction surgery takes about one to four hours. Lipoplasty performed under intravenous sedation or general anesthesia. This is outpatient procedure and the patients return to home after the surgery.
Surgeon will make a small incision in the skin, where a narrow tube is through the incisions and moved around to loosen fat. This tube is attached to a power suction that dislodges fat out of the body.
Recovery:
During liposuction recovery patients may feel pain, swelling and bruising that they reduce after 1-2 weeks. Surgeon may suggest wearing a compression garment to help for control swelling and compress the skin for two to four weeks. Surgeon will give specific instructions on how to care.
